Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination during overnight shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses accurately
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and appropriate interventions
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs while providing clinical guidance and leadership
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with relevant experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC or PALS preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills for patient/family interactions and handovers
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
