Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients in our Level I Trauma Center
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to emergency situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic EMR
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 3+ years ER experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Exceptional communication and documentation abilities
