Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in critical care units during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Implement patient safety protocols and infection control measures
- Mentor junior nursing staff during shift transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- BSN or associate degree in nursing
- 2+ years acute care experience required
- BLS/ACLS certifications mandatory
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Flexibility for rotating weekends/holidays
