Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and making clinical assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Assist physicians during procedures and perform bedside care with precision and empathy.
- Document patient care services, including medical history and symptoms, in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations calmly and effectively during the night shift.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health management strategies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or medical-surgical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients or equipment as necessary throughout the shift.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
