Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during night shifts with meticulous attention to clinical protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals, assess conditions, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute personalized care plans
- Maintain sterile environments and ensure compliance with OSHA/JCAHO standards
- Provide patient/family education and emotional support during overnight care periods
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shift handoff communications
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years of acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of night shift experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic/Healthcare experience preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to variable shift schedules and patient acuity levels
