Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, alerting the medical team to any changes in condition.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, symptoms, and responses to therapy.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to manage critical care events.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, with experience in a hospital setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and family education.
