Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Health: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient conditions during the night shift.
- Administer Care: Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and treatment execution as per physician orders.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient vital signs, progress notes, and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue activations and patient falls.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge planning, and health maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
- License: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
