Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient care plans.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate, high-quality care during critical incidents.
- Document patient care services in the electronic medical record in accordance with facility standards.
- Teach patients and their families about medical conditions and health promotion strategies.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
