Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor and record patient condition, reporting any changes immediately to the Charge Nurse or Physician.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform critical interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with critical care experience a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions during the night shift.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
