Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide immediate intervention when abnormalities are detected.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care plans, assessments, and progress updates accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all patients and staff members.
- Respond promptly to code blue situations and emergency codes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong patient-centric focus.
