Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and documenting medical history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients continuously during the night shift and promptly report any significant changes or emergencies.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities and interventions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform heavy lifting as needed.
