Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients throughout the shift.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
- Support: Assist in the orientation and mentoring of nursing students and new staff members.
- Emergency Response: Participate in code blue responses and other emergency protocols as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, assessment, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as required; night shift availability is mandatory.
