Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Provide direct patient care and emotional support to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely using electronic health records.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and assist with procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
