Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop patient-centered care plans.
- Document clinical findings, patient responses, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and code blue activations.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana (or compact state eligibility).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical facility (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
