Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and medications via IV lines with precision and care.
- Assess patient conditions, identify needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient medical history, symptoms, progress, and care provided in accordance with legal standards.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in accordance with hospital safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the night shift.
- Flexibility to rotate shifts and work weekends/holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
