Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and education to patients and their families during critical times.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and responses to interventions accurately and timely.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with a focus on patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
