As a Night Shift RN at Oakland Regional, you will provide critical care to our patients during the overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Respond immediately to patient alarms and emergent situations to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism during night shifts.
