Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and recovery progress by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-paced, night shift environment.
