Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status continuously throughout the shift, identifying changes and intervening as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care activities, responses to treatment, and changes in condition accurately and timely in the EMR.
- Respond immediately to emergencies and critical situations, utilizing advanced life support skills.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding their care plans.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Florida.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; Med-Surg or Telemetry experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performance night shift team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities.
