As a Registered Nurse on our night shift, you will be the face of our patient care, providing critical support to our patients and their families during the overnight hours. We pride ourselves on a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, reporting any changes immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (Critical Care experience is a plus).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
