Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously during the night shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healing environment by adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Respond promptly to code blue situations and other medical emergencies.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
