Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical and psychological conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheter care, and assistance with daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make quick, sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and weekends as required.
