Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning night shift team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and adherence to safety regulations.
