Responsibilities
- Perform Clinical Duties: Take vital signs, administer medications, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples and manage specimen collection safely and efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and verify insurance information.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and examination rooms.
- Patient Interaction: Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients and their families.
- HIPAA Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to patient privacy and data protection regulations.
- Physician Assistance: Assist providers during procedures and document patient encounters accurately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Licensure: Valid Texas Medical Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (evenings/overnights).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
