Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status continuously during the night shift.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease prevention.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
