Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during overnight shifts, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment coordination
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and document patient responses to interventions using electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking skills
- Mentor junior staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and state nursing standards
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license or compact state license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience (night shift preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TN preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ADN accepted with commitment to BSN within 3 years
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
