Responsibilities
- Perform routine medical examinations and accurately record patient vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and basic assessments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and vaccines as authorized by the provider.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA or RMA certification (or eligible for certification).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
