Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance as needed.
- Document patient care activities and medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)) required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required for new hires).
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
