Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance when necessary.
- Document patient medical history and symptoms, treatments administered, and responses to care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about post-treatment home care and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
