Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred based on specialty.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
