Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and monitoring within the assigned department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety.
- Document patient observations, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue calls.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS certification preferred based on department.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
