Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status to identify changes in condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians and according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies within the scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to flexible shift schedules.
