Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, adhering strictly to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards regarding infection control and safety.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
