Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and record changes in medical condition.
- Document all patient care services, including the patient's condition, treatment administered, and response to care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, management, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with calm and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Maryland.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
