Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and strict hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes to the charge nurse immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
- Adhere to all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS certification preferred for critical care units.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience (New grads with bridge programs are encouraged to apply).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
