Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive, individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or according to established protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient symptoms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Document all patient care activities using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment following infection control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience (Pediatrics, Med-Surg, or ICU preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Computer literacy, specifically with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
