Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments according to established nursing protocols.
- Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team and physicians promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient progress, care plans, and medical history in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and code blue situations, following ACLS protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN).
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computerized charting systems and medical equipment.
- Compassion: Strong commitment to patient advocacy and demonstrating empathy in high-stress situations.
