Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Health: Perform comprehensive health assessments and document patient histories accurately.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to safety protocols.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and report any abnormalities to physicians immediately.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with doctors, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists to develop effective care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and recovery processes.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred for new grads).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
