Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred, Associate Degree accepted).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
