Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Conduct regular assessments of patient vital signs, pain levels, and medical conditions to ensure optimal recovery.
- Administer Care: Perform bedside care including wound dressing changes, catheter care, and medication administration as prescribed.
- Document Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Educate Patients: Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess a valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing (or be a recent graduate awaiting licensure).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic new graduates for training.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: A patient-first attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
