Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient health status and progress.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting all patient interactions and care provided.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe, sanitized environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred for new hires.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical equipment.
- Compassion: Strong bedside manner and a genuine passion for patient advocacy and community health.
