Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical standards.
- Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team immediately.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient recovery.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN License to practice in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and ethical practices.
