Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, escalating concerns immediately.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medication management, and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain precise records in electronic health systems while adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in basic life support procedures.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail are essential.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records.
