Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, or walkers.
- Administer prescribed medications and document all care activities in patient records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current, valid, and unencumbered state-issued Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting and documentation.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- CPR/BLS certification is highly desirable.
