Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a comprehensive, individualized nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously, documenting vital signs, symptoms, and responses to care accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing rounds to enhance patient safety.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
