Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and report changes in condition to the nursing team immediately.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and disease prevention.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or BSN).
- Unlicensed Graduate Nurse (ULGN) status or current RN license in the State of New York.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred but not mandatory for entry-level).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary.
