Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and legibly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
