Responsibilities
- Conduct Remote Patient Assessments: Utilize video conferencing and secure messaging to evaluate patient symptoms and provide accurate nursing triage.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital standards.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans remotely.
- Medication Management: Review medication lists and educate patients on drug interactions and adherence protocols via virtual channels.
- Emergency Triage: Assess urgent symptoms and facilitate appropriate referrals or dispatch emergency services when necessary.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on chronic disease management, wellness strategies, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required for this entry-level remote position. (New grads encouraged to apply!)
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems, telehealth platforms, and electronic health record software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport remotely.
