Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and specialists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient medical records accurately and in a timely manner to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in stabilizing patients as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing School (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for new graduates).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
