Responsibilities
- Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Assess patient health status, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor Health Status: Observe and record patient condition and reactions to medications and treatments, reporting changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, assessments, and care plans.
- Collaborate with Team: Work effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and calmly to medical emergencies and critical situations.
- Health Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks.
